Abstract
In order to reduce the costs, cyclohexanone reacted directly with nitromethane to prepare 1-(nitromethyl)-cyclohemanol without solvent in the presence of sodium hydroxide. Then samples were analyzed by IR,GC spectrum, and refractive index.Effects of synthesis conditions on the product yield were investigated, the best process conditions were determined. The results show that the optimal synthesis conditions are as follows: reaction time 10 h,reaction temperature 15 ℃,molar ratio of nitromethane to cyclohexanone 1.2:1,molar ratio of alkali catalyst to nitromethane 1:4;Under above conditions, the yield of 1-(nitromethyl)-cyclohemanol can reach to 59.45%.
