Abstract
In this article, we proceed from social demand, discuss the importance of developing mesoscale numerical forecast and the requirement which numerical forecast put forward to high performance computer. We introduce the characteristics of mesoscale meteorology model MM5, give the difference approximate algorithm of mesoscale model and analyse the feasibility of parallel computing numerical forecast model.
