Abstract
Thyroid nodules are a common clinical problem, thyroid fine needle aspiration(TFNA) cytology is the gold standard of identification of benign and malignant thyroid nodules, TFNA can explicitly 62%-85% of benign thyroid nodules, but about 15%-30% of thyroid nodules can not clearly distinguish benign from malignant, these indeterminate thyroid nodules imply an uncertain risk of malignancy, so the current clinical challenge is how to reliably distinguish benign from malignant tumors. The development of molecular markers of thyroid nodules have provided a new diagnostic methods for the differential diagnosis of benign and malignant, the development of new sequencing technology is expected to further increase diagnosis accuracy of cancers in thyroid nodules, and provide personalized treatment, which is expected in clinical practice extensively.
