Abstract
Scientism and humanism,two series of sense of value and two dimensions of human spirit,provide two kinds of spiritual direction for the development of human society and are thus indespensable for its sound development.It is a pity that people failed in the past to combine scientism with humanism and coordinate and develop their relationship so as to result in the crises for both people and society during the development of society.The article discusses in a number of aspects the necessity and possibility for the combination of scientism and humanism.and,through the analysis of the knowledge economy society,points out the reality of their combination,thus giving it an all-round exposition.
