Abstract

Objective To investigate the value of color Doppler ultrasound(CDU) and three-dimensional dynamic contrastenhanced magnetic resonance angiography(3D DCE-MRA) in the diagnosis of arteriosclerosis obliterans in calf artery by receiver operating characteristic(ROC) analysis. Methods Forty-one patients with lower extremity arterial occlusive disease were enrolled, male 34,female 7,aged 48-83 years, mean age 69.10 years. They were examined by CDU and 3D DCE-MRA.The obtained results were compared with DSA and/or surgery. Results The ROC analysis indicated that the detection of occlusive and significant arterial stenosis disease in calf by 3D DCE-MRA was 0.764 6(Az),0.774 5(Az),and by CDU was 0.952 6(Az),0.905 3(Az) respectively. Conclusion The CDU is superior to 3D DCE-MRA in diagnosing of arteriosclerosis obliterans below knee.
