Abstract
The scab score of 6 generations from the cross of S42×Annong 8455 was investigated with the genetic design of major gene plus polygenes. The results showed that in the cross of S42×Annong 8455 the scab resistance of S42 fitted the genetic model E-1-1(two major genes plus polygenes with additive-dominance effect). The additive effect of major genes was high, while the dominance effects were contrary for the two major genes. However, the additive and dominance effects of polygenes were small. The heritability of major genes was high, from 84.05% to 92.17%,whereas the heritability of polygenes was low, only from 0.12% to 6.64%.
