Abstract

Objectives To study the clinical features and surgical treatment of the thoracic and lumbar spinal metastases.Method 43 cases with lumbar spinal metastases were underwent with anterior or(and) posterior tumor resection and internal fixation.Result 4 cases died within 3 months after surgery.The pain of patients was relieved and the neurological status of the patients was maintained or improved.Conclusion The surgical treatment of the thoracic and lumbar spinal metastases could stabilize and reconstruct the spine,maintain and improve the neurological status of the patients.
