Clinical Observation and Nursing Intervention of Improved Artificial Dura Mater Plasty

Abstract

Objective: To observe the effect of the improved artificial dura mater plasty on the dura materdefect by decompression in traumatic brain injury.Methods: 88 cases of dura mater defect in traumatic brain injury by decompression were divided into Group A(46 cases) treated with the improved artificial dura mater plasty and Group B(42 cases) treated with traditional temporalis muscle-dural suture.The patients in Group A was given an effective nursing intervention and those in Group B only received routine care to observe the effect of dural mater repair,and the occurrence of complications.Results: Satisfactory dural mater repair effects were achieved in both groups.There was no significant difference in postoperative occurrence rate of cerebrospinal fluid leak,seroma and wound infection between the two groups(P 0.05).Compared with that in Group B,surgery time is shorter in Group A(P0.05).Postoperative occurrence rate of seizures in Group A was significantly lower than that in Group B(P0.05).Conclusion: Combined with appropriate nursing intervention,the repair effect of modified artificial cerebral dural plasty repair on dural defects by decompression in traumatic brain injury is satifactory,with safety and fewer complications.
