Abstract
110 episodes of supraventricular tachycardia(SVT)were induced by esophago—atrial pacing in 30 patients with SVT(11 patients with atrioventricular nodal reentrant tachycardia, 19 patients with atrioventricular reentrant tachycardia). By using different doses(10mg, 20mg, 30mg)of ATP for the termination of SVT, we observed in the meantime its effects on the functions of sino-atriral node (SAN) and atrio-ventricular node(AVN). The result showed that ATP had a strong negative chronotropic and dromotropic effect on the SAN and AVN during the termination of SVT. Also with increasing the doses, the stronger the effects were observed. Because the treatment for SVT with ATP may appear a variety of complications and crisis, so it is not desirable to use ATP as a first-choiced drug.
