Abstract

In ancient times,song and were considered as the same kind of literature and art.Poem was the content of while was the carrier of poem.They were interdependent and merging in each other,like sound and meaning of language.Ancient Chinese poem was so poetic a language that there was no without song.That's why in history,the appellation of poet included: 1.a person who wrote and sang poems;2.a person who wrote or adapted and sang poems;3.a person who only wrote poems.Besides,in ancient Chinese poem,passion was its flesh and blood;language was its constructive material;and song was its performance.To beautify language with the true feelings and to stir the harmony of audience were the artistic characteristics of ancient Chinese poem.
