Composition of species and distribution of abundance of pelagic fish eggs,larvae and juveniles in three bays of Quanzhou

Based on the survey data in Quanzhou Bay,Weitou Bay and Maizhou Bay in March 2007,August 2007 and February 2008,we discussed the distribution of species and abundance of pelagic fish eggs,larvae and juveniles.The results showed that a total of 51 species belonging to 21 Family were recorded.They can be classify 3 eco-type:coastal benthic fishes,epipelagic and mesopelagic fishes,estuarine fishes.The mean abundance of fish eggs is 81.2 ind/net,and that of larvae and juvenile is 31.0 ind/net.Abundance distribution shows that dominant species are obviously different among bays with no seasonal trend.The abundance of fish eggs,larvae and juveniles decreased in bays in recent years.
