Sedimentary characteristics and control factors of slump turbidite fans in Es_3 of Dongxin region

Abstract

Based on the comprehensive analysis of geological,well logging and seismic data,the characteristics of sedimentation and development of slump turbidite fans in Es_3 in Dongxin region are analyzed.The fans can be divided into three microfacies.The vertical sequence and distribution modes of slump turbidite sands in this area are established.The factors controlling the development of these sands are investigated.It is thought that the development of slump turbidite sands was closely related to the scale and constructivity of delta,the palaeotopography features of the sag,and tectonic movement.
