Abstract
The previous power quality regulator of the railway traction substation uses the local single compensation, which is subject to the equipment capacity and costs a lot in the operation and management. As negative sequences of different traction substations have different phases,in this paper,a new compensation method for traction substations is proposed based on combined compensation. It can significantly reduce the cost and realize the objective for treating the negative sequences for the power supply system for train traction. The effectiveness and accuracy of the combined compensation method are verified by simulations.
