Abstract
For the dimethyl ether(DME) low-pressure common rail fuel system, the wear and leakage problem of plunger matching parts in plunger-type injection pump appeared frequently. For the status, the in-line diaphragm fuel pump for DME engine was developed, the structure design and working principle were described and the key components were analyzed. The pump employed the scheme of extruding diaphragm by engine direct driving and plunger reciprocating movement, and hence the structure was simple. The simulation analysis shows that the flow and pressure pulsation are small.Accordingly, the pump can meet the requirements of downsized vehicle, which provides an equipment basis for the development of DME low-pressure common rail fuel system.
