Abstract
The studies the adsorption of heavy fuel oil on the sediments when the static condition and temperature is 30℃. The result shows that the adsorption equilibrium time is about 24h, adsorption quantity is about 919.26μg·g-1; When the adsorption is equilibrium, the whole adsorption capacity of heavy fuel oil on sediments increases with the sediments mass, when the mass is about 1.5g, the adsorption capacity is equilibrium;the adsorption capacity is affected apparently by the particle sizes, and the adsorption capacity on sediments is ⅡⅢⅣ, the small particle sizes has more stronger adsorption capacity. The adsorption capacity decreases with pH, and then increases, when pH was about 9.75. The adsorption is the lowest. The adsorption isotherms can be described as Freundlich’s equation.
