Abstract

Objective To analyze the reasons of unsuccessful weaning in patients receiving mechanical ventilation in intensive care unit(ICU),in order to promote the rate of successful weaning.Method The information of 65 unsuccessful weaning cases in 39 patients receiving mechanical ventilation in ICU were investigation. Results The reasons of unsuccessful weaning were as follows, the changes of physiological index accounted for 58.5%(n=38),deterioration of generated disease for 29.3%(n=19) and improper strategy of weaning for 12.2%(n=8).Conclusion The reasons of unsuccessful weaning are changes of physiological index, deterioration of generated disease and improper strategy of weaning,so we should hold the proper weaning time and mode in weaning.
