Abstract
Concerning the problems of information explosion and information silos which the manufacturing enterprises encounter in 3C(CAD/CAPP/CAM)systems application,a solution of using PDM system as the platform to integrate 3C systems is put forward.Aiming at the two-way system integration between PDM system and 3D CAD system,the system integration framework based on PDM and the three integration models are introduced,and then the main functions of the two-way system integration are researched.At last,a two-way system integration solution based on XML is proposed and is proved to be feasible through a system integration example,which provides a reference for the future system integration between PDM system and 3D CAD system.
