Abstract

In order to discuss the drought-resistant mechanism of broomcorn millet, the drought structure on leaves surface was observed by SEM.The results showed that the upper and lower epidermis were covered with trichomes with the well-developed cuticle, and cuticle on lower epidermis was rough. The epidermal cells were regular in shape with uneven surface, which were composed with long-type cell and short-type cell. These cells arranged along long axis. There were stomata on the two sides of epidermis, the stomata caved in,while the subsidiary cells were more protruding than the subsidiary cell.
