Connected With Urban Life in Urban Design--an analysis of problems on urban space design of Chongqing

Based on the analysis of the problems caused by the higher trend of downtown, the closing of community and the formula of street space on our urban construction, the viewpoints that Chongqing's downtown should follow cluster space mode so as to continue city's contexture, community space should pay attention to habitability in order to reduce the contradiction between commonality and privacy, and advocation of network - like street space on the basis of human activity, are discussed in this paper. In the end, it is concluded that only the urban design connecting with urban life will result in urban vitality.
