Abstract
Objective:To study the effect of AG490 on hypertrophy of cardiomyocytes induced by cardiotrophin-1 (CT-1).Methods:The cultured cardiomyocytes were treated with CT-1 to induce hypertrophy of cardiomyocytes. The cell size, 3H-leucine incorporation and the mRNA levels of β-MHC were examined. Results:After stimulated by CT-1 the cardiomyocytes were enlarged(q=16.47,P0.01). Both 3H-leucine incorporation and the mRNA levels of β-MHC increased(P0.01). AG490 partly inhibited those effects of CT-1(P0.01 all).Conclusion:CT-1 may induced the cardiomyocytes hypertrophy. AG490 can partly inhibit the cardiomyocytes hypertrophy induced by CT-1.
