Housing, at Every Corner of the City

Pursuit of the sense of happy living becomes the driving force of housing design in Hangzhou, a city with a noticeable leisure temperament. This paper examines three different projects located respectively in the old city centre, the new city and the Suburbs of Hangzhou designed by the Zhejiang Urban Architectural Design Planning Institute.The paper explores possible ways to provide happy living through the construction of physical environment while taking the regional and social differences into account.
