Abstract
Apoptosis is a kind of autonomic death process controlled by gene. Autophagy has also beensuggested as a non-apoptosis death type of programmed cell death. This article summarizes thecharacteristic and mechanism of apoptosis and autophagy and reviews the relationship between the two.
