ON THE FORMULATION OF WATER SUPPLY AND DRAINAGE PLANNING

In recent years, the industrialization and urbanization has grown rapidly. The planning and construction of water supply and drainage facilities, the important support of the urban-rural development, is facing with both the water resources shortage and the environmental pollution as a result of the industrialization and the contradiction between urban-rural integrated land layout and compact infra- structure generated by the urban-rural integrated development. This paper, aiming at the above men- tioned problems, discusses the water supply and drainage system design, the determination of the scale, the layout of the pipe networks and the selection of drainage system.
