Abstract

The amorphous Ni-P coating was prepared on the surface of ZL113 aluminum alloy by chemical plating, the coating were heat treated at a series temperature of 300~400 ℃ for 80 min,the surface morphologies and phase compositions of the coating were characterized with SEM and XRD,respectively, and the wear mechanism of Ni-P coating was examined by friction-wear test. The results showed that the crystal dimensions of Ni-P coating by chemical plating are grew up with the heat treatment temperatures. The coating hardness increases with the heat treatment temperatures, showing similar Gaussian distribution, and reaches the maximum of 611.2 HV at 350 ℃.The heat treatment temperatures have little effect on friction coefficient by the wear test, the wear process is divided into three stages,i.e.abrasive wear,adhesive-abrasive wear and adhesive wear, and the wear resistance is the best at 350 ℃.
