Abstract

Discussion about the Modernity is one of the basic themes of the modern western thoughts.The theory of labor value set out by Adam Smith both vindicated the validity of the Modernity from the economic perspective and showed the limitation of Modernity from the historical perspective.By criticizing the theory of labor value,Marx regarded the Modernity as a process of self-negation and self-improvement and then finished to surpass the Modernity in the context of economics.
