Abstract
This paper investigated the changes of quality and enzyme activities in blueberries fumigated with different concentrations( 0、10、20、30 μmol·L- 1) of methyl jasmonate( MeJA). The results showed that MeJA treatments reduced decay and maintained fruit firmness,TA and TSS during storage at 5℃. MeJA treatments also enhanced the activities of phenylalanine ammonia lyase( PAL),peroxidase( POD) and polyphenol oxidase( PPO). Furthermore,MeJA had a potential on enhancing activities of disease-resistant enzymes and effectively improved disease resistance of blueberries. The concentration of 20 μmol·L- 1MeJA was found to be significantly effective than all the other treatments,therefore,this concentration was designated as an optimum MeJA treatment for maintaining the storage quality of blueberries.
