Abstract

Wang Zengqi published Shou Jie at the early of 1980s which caused a sensation throughout the literary circle. It brought a fresh air to the circle characterized by sorrow and confusion. The work with distinguished features of customs truly and lively reflected the creative characteristics of Wang Zengqi. He practiced creation in theme, structure, character molding and language of the novels, and created many novels with the beauty of folk customs like poems and prose.
