Clinical observation of Tongfuxiezhuo method on the treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by thoracolumbar fractures

Objective To observe the effect of Tongfuxiezhuo method on the treatment of gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by thoracolumbar fractures. Methods 163 patients with thoracolumbar fractures of perioperative period were randomly divided into treatment group( n = 83) and control group( n = 80). Treatment group received Tongfuxiezhuo method adopting retention enema of Dacheng decoction combined with umbilical application powder of Dacheng decoction. Control group received Neostigmine methyl sulfate intramuscular injection. Recovery time of bowel sounds,first exhaust time,defecation time of Patients after admission and postoperative patients were observe. Results Recovery time of bowel sounds,first exhaust time,defecation time of Patients and the total effective rate( 7. 7 ±2. 8,12. 5 ± 4. 4,45. 2 ± 28. 2,89. 16%) in treatment group were superior to those in control group( 10. 2 ± 3. 5,21. 2 ± 11. 3,75. 9 ± 27. 3,77. 5%,P 0. 05). Conclusion Tongfuxiezhuo method on gastrointestinal dysfunction caused by thoracolumbar fractures has distinct effect,safe and reliable,can reduce pain of patients,be helpful for patients with early rehabilitation.
