Comparison study on clinical effect of different surgical approach for zygomatic fracture

Objective To compare the clinical effect of different surgical approach for zygomatic fracture.Methods 58 patients with zygomatic fracture in our hospital from January 2005 to April 2011 were selected as research object,and they were randomly divided into group A and group B with 29 cases in each group.Group A were treated with scalp coronal incision,group B were treated with small local incisions,then the treatment effect,incidence of complications,satisfaction rate and QOLscore before and after the treatment at first and third month of two groups were compared.Results The treatment effect of two groups had no significantly differences,(P0.05),but the incidence of complications of group B was lower than that of group A,satisfaction rate was higher than that of group A,QOL score after the treatment at first and third month were all better than those of group A,(all P0.05),there were all significant differences.Conclusion The clinical effect of small local incisions for zygomatic fracture is better,and the advantage in improving bite force and quality of life is obvious.
