Study on Bearing of Single Pile Based on Non-in-Situ

Abstract

The paper researches the relationship of bearing capacity between engineering piles and testing piles.Load-transmission method is used to get the relationship of bearing capacity of single pile between engineering piles and testing piles based on the same pile top settlement.The shaft resistance along the pile is calculated by hyperbolic model and the tip resistance is calculated by the solution of Boussinesq.The theoretical formula which includes many factors such as elastic modulus of pile side and tip soils,elastic modulus of piles,ultimate shaft resistance,radius of piles,length of testing piles,and settlement of pile top is gotten.It proves that elastic modulus of pile side has limited affections on the bearing capacity of single pile,and the bearing capacity of engineering pile can get by the formula if the bearing capacity of testing piles is given.The theoretical formula agrees well with the measured data from a field-loading test calculated results,but the formula should be modified by more practical measured data.
