Abstract

Confucius' ideas of official morality contain rich connotations in which the main concepts are: cultivating and correcting oneself, combining studies with thinking, matching words with deeds, seeking truth from facts, striving constantly to become stronger, controlling greed with justice, accepting reconciliation with different views, recommending the worthy and repelling the mean, and putting people's interests in the first place. It's undoubtedly necessary and beneficial to inherit the essence of Confucius' official morality ideas in modern China where official morality construction has become one of the issues in moral constructions.
