The Clinical Research on Treating Ulcerative Colitis by Mesalazine plus Enema

Objective To observe the clinical effects on treating ulcerative colitis by mesalazine plus enema on the patients.Methods A retrospective analysis of clinical data was conducted in 68 patients with ulcerative colitis who were admitted in our hospital from march 2010 to march 2011,which were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with 34 patients each.The treatment group was treated with mesalazine plus enema;the control group was treated with Sulfasalazine.The two groups clinical effects and intestine mucous membrane by enteroscopy before and after treatment were observed.Results The total effective rate of treatment group was 94.12% and that of the control group was 85.29%,there were significant differences between the two groups(u=-6.854,P0.05),the adverse reaction rate in treatment group was lower than the control group(P0.05).The mucosa hyperemia edema,ulcer,erosion,petechia and cicatricose of two groups had obviously disappearance after treatment(P0.05),but the differences between two groups before and after treatment were not significant(P0.05).Conclusion Mesalazine plus enema treating ulcerative colitis patients is proved to be a safe and effective therapy,worthy of clinical promotion.
