Research on surgery for the treatment of elderly patients with lumbar disc herniation

Objective To investigate the surgical treatment and its clinical efficacy for elderly patients with lumbar disc herniation(LDH). Methods 60 elderly patients with LDH were randomly divided into observation group and control group,30 cases in each group.The observation group underwent percutaneous full-endoscopic discectomy,the underwent small incision intervertebral fenestration discectomy,the efficacy of the two groups were compared the. Results There was no significant difference in short-term efficacy between the two groups(P 0.05);the incision length,blood loss,postoperative 3d leg pain VAS score,postoperative bed time and hospital stay of observation group were significantly lower than the control group(P 0.05). Conclusion Surgical treatment for elderly patients with LDH has a significant effect,compared to small incision intervertebral fenestration discectomy,percutaneous fullendoscopic discectomy has less invasive,less bleeding,faster recovery,more application advantages.
