Abstract
By subtle core observation, rock thin-section identification, cast thin-section picture statistic analyses, and scanning electron microscopic analyses, the lithologic characteristics and provenance of conglomerate in ying-4 segment of Xingcheng gas field have been studied. The results suggest that the component of conglomerate in ying-4 is complex and the type or rock is diverse, namely magnetic rock, metamorphic rock and sedimentary rock. The results indicate the provenance orientation is NNW by conglomerate component, denudation mountain, lithologic character.
