Abstract

Commercially availabe bacterial products have been used in enhancing biodegradability of PET waterwater in the activated sludge system.GC-MS analysis indicated that this kind of bioaugmentation microorganisms play a great part in the biodegradation of all the long chained hydrocarbons,obviously shortening the start-up period, reducing the COD_(cr) values in effluent as much as 100 mg/L and increasing the COD_(cr) removal rate by 6% to 8%.
