Forming and Enhancing the Credibility of Private Colleges and Universities

With increasing social consciousness of the citizens,the wordcredibility originated from news media gradually comes to be used for the evaluation of various social organizations and supervision of public policy.Thus,credibility of university has become a dominant topic of research for higher education,among which the credibility of private colleges and universities in mainland China becomes an important issue.Based on the background,by briefly reviewing the situation of studying oncredibility,this article analyses the source and formation of credibility of private colleges and universities in mainland China,and explores the path of enhancing the credibility of private colleges and universities through a comparison with Taiwan.Furthermore,this article points out that enhancing the education evaluation of private colleges and universities,establishing perfect education laws and rules and improving the education quality of private colleges and universities are important guarantee for promoting the sustainable development of private colleges and universities in mainland China.
