Abstract
The hydration degree of Portland cement under the condition of low water cement ratio was tested, and the microstructure of hardened cement paste was studied by means of XRD and SEM.The results show that the hydration degree of cement is lower under the low water cement ratio than under the high water cement ratio, and there exists more unhydrated cement in the hardened cement paste with low water cement paste, the crystallization and growth of cement hydrates is affected. The complete crystals of portlandite and etringite can not be seen almost.
