Abstract

Objective:To study the gene and protein expression of CD151 in thyroid tissues and its relation to thyroid tumor.Methods: The gene and protein expression of CD151 in thyroid tissues were detected by RT-PCR and immunohistochemistry,including 27 cases of carcinoma,10 cases of thyroid adenoma and 8 normal tissues of thyroid,and compare the clinical and pathological data.Results: The expression of CD151 in thyroid carcinoma was obviously higher than other two groups and thyroid carcinoma was higher than normal tissues(P0.01,P0.05),but it has not correlation with age,gender,cancer diameter and lymph node metastasis(P0.05).Further more the expression of gene in accordance with protein(r=0.511,P0.01).Conclusion:The expression of CD151 in normal tissues of thyroid,thyroid adenoma and thyroid carcinoma increases progressively,suggests that CD151 promotes the development of thyroid tumors.
