Abstract
Objective To explore the diagnostic value of laboratory checks in vulvovaginal candidiasis.Methods 318 samples of vaginal secret were observed by wet mount, Gram stain and were cultured.Cervical discharge and stool were cultured.Results Vulvovaginal candida were positive in 89 cases.89 cases of positive vulvovaginal candida had gastrointestinal dysbacteriosis.The diagnostic value of Gram stain was as same as culture (P0.05).Conclusion Detection rate of vulvovaginal candida can be improved by combined Gram-stain microscopic examination of vaginal discharge smear and culture of vaginal discharge.Proper use of antibiotics and avoiding long-term usage of antibiotics can reduce infection rate of vulvovaginal candida.
