Studies on Content Measuring of Magnolol and Honokiol in Magnoliae Officinalis Pill

Abstract

The method of measuring the content of magnolol and honokiol in Magnoliae Officinalis Pell is established.Method:Adopting HPLC to measure the content of magnolol and honlkiol.Result:The linear scope of measuring method of content of magnolol and honokiol is 0.488~2.440μg(Chi-Square:27.44) and 0.362~1.810μg(Chi-Square:36.07)respectively.The average recovery ratio is 97.0%,RSD=1.3%(n=5) and 96.8%,RSD=1.4%(n=5)respectively.Conclusion:The method established is accurate and practical with good repeatability.It can be taken as the quality norm for controlling the content of officinal magnolia bark in Magnoliae Officinalis Pill.
