Abstract
Generally,compressed bitstreams in the multimedia applications are very sensitive to channel errors.Error concealment(EC) is an important approach attempting to estimate and reconstruct the damaged portions.According to the requirements of wireless applications,this paper propose a new concealment algorithm based on mode selection scheme.By exploiting both the spatial and temporal redundancies,the proposed algorithm provides satisfactory results both in PSNR and visual quality through the H.264 decoding experiments in the mobile project.With a low computing complexity and memory cost,the algorithm can be implemented in the resource restricted environment such as mobile applications.
