Abstract

A new type of solid superacid catalyst SO_4~(2-)/ZrO~(2-)Fe_3O_4 modified by lanthanum was prepared. The catalytic performance was evaluated by the esterification of acetic acid and n-butanol and the influences of preparation parameters on its catalytic properties were studied. These catalysts were characterized by XRD and TDA. The optimum preparation conditions for the catalyst were:impregnated with 5% La(NO_3)_3 solution, dried at 100, calcinated at 600 for 3h.The yield of butyl acetate was about 88%.
