Abstract

The lower control precision and higher failure rate existed in the No.2 slab caster at Yinshan Steelmaking Plant of Laiwu Steel,which result in high maintenance cost and low output.Technical revamping for the slab caster was introduced.A comparison of production practice between the old and the new caster was made.It is shown that the quality and production of slab was enhanced.
