ESWL for renal colic with ureteral calculi

Abstract

Objective To analyze curative effects of Extracorporeal shock-wave lithotripsy(ESWL) for renal colic with ureteral calculi and causes of operation.MethodsThe clinical data of 220 cases who underwent ESWL because of renal colic with ureteral calculi were analyzed respectively.ResultsThe succeed rate of ESWL by one time was 85%),12 cases were treated by second time with ESWL,16 cases were treated by cutting open ureteral orifice with cystoscopy,3 cases were treated by ureterolithotomy.ConclusionsESWL is the first choice of renal colic with ureteral calculi,open surgery is need after failed ESWL.
