Abstract
Photonic crystal is a kind of artificial medium material,and it has wide applications foreground. By using the method of finite difference time domain (FDTD),we research the position of photonic forbidden band is modulated by medium packing rate. As medium packing rate minishes,the middle position of photonicforbidden band moves to shortwave direction. The conclusions show that such method is efficacious.
