Abstract
H-matrix is a widely used matrix. In this paper, with a more general splitting,we use the Gauss-Seidel iterative method for the solution of the linear systems when the coefficient matrix ia an H-matrix and we obtain convergence results under a type of preconditioned matrix. Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the conclusions.
