Treatment of Senile Intertrochanteric Fracture with Minimal Invasive Technique and DHS

Abstract

Objective To discuss the clinical application and curative effect of DHS in minimal invasive technique to treat senile intertrochanteric fracture.Methods 62 cases of such patient were treated with this method from July 2004 to August 2006.Results The 7～24 months follow-up was taken in 57 cases without death.All cases had healed without delayed healing.The joint function was excellent in 43 cases,better in 8 cases and good in 5 cases.Conclusion This method might have less incision,less injury,short bed-time,fast healing and good limbs function with less complication.It might be an ideal method for such senile patient.
