Abstract

Objective To investigate transcranial Doppler(TCD) neck rotation test on vertebral artery blood flow and diagnostic value. Methods The clinical diagnosis of vertebral artery had cervical spondylosis in 50 patients, conducted before and after the rotation test of TCD flow velocity and resistance index of vertebral artery blood analysis, and compared with the control group. Results At the neutral position, vertebral artery blood flow was lower in test group than the control group. With neck rotation angle increased, the ipsilateral vertebral artery blood flow, blood flow spectrum and resistance index were compared with the control group, there were significant changes in P0.01.In test group with neck rotation test positive rate was 96%,0.6% in the control group. Conclusion TCD with neck rotation test can improve the diagnosis positive rate of vertebral artery type of cervical artery disease.
