Abstract
Rape is an important oilseed and protein crop. Waterlogging affects the development of rape in China. The improvement of rape waterlogging tolerance ability is of great significance for the sustainable development of rape. The vgb transgenic plants were identified by PCR and Southern blot. The change of SOD,MDA and proline contents in transgenic plants were significantly lower than those in the control after 15 d waterlogging treatment. Agronomic traits of plants were investigated after waterlogging, the result showed that waterlogging tolerance of vgb transgenic plants were significantly enhanced compared with that of control, indicating that expression of vgb gene in Brassica napus have a significant effect on its waterlogging tolerance.
