Abstract
Periodontitis is an inflammatory and destructive disease that leads to the loss of periodontal supporting tissues.Conventional periodontal treatment such as guided tissue regeneration is generally unable to promote absolute regeneration of damaged periodontal structures.Recently, abundant studies are centered on periodontal tissue engineering which may result in more predictable periodontal regeneration. This article reviews the present research status of periodontal tissue engineering.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
